Gail King is the Director of Pharmacy at Putnam Community Medical Center where she oversees the Pharmacy Department and Pharmacy Residency program. She creates and delivers patient-focused pharmaceutical care while striving to lead her wonderful staff in making Putnam Community Medical Center the best small hospital in Northeast Florida.

During her time with Hospital Corporation of America, the parent company of PCMC, she has been recognized for starting the small/rural pharmacy residency program by the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists and HCA.

Prior to working at PCMC, Gail was Assistant Director of Pharmacy at Orange Park Medical Center, Orange Park, Florida and Director of Pharmacy at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, Florida. Her pharmacy career spans 45 years.

She attended St. Louis College of Pharmacy for her BS Pharmacy, then University of Kansas College of Pharmacy for her Pharm D and University of North Florida Coggin College of Business for her MBA. She currently lives in Saint Johns, Florida where her hobbies include music, reading, Bible study and hanging with friends and family. She is currently studying to obtain her associate degree in Christian counseling and she is a certified Christian financial counselor.
