Putnam Community Medical Center emphasizes screenings and knowledge as a commitment to early detection and treatment of Breast Cancer.
Putnam Community Medical Center, an HCA North Florida hospital, is striving to promote breast cancer awareness in a fun and positive way for the entire month of October.
Every Friday in the month of October, the Medical Center will be offering a drive through treat to help the community remember the importance of regular screening and early detection of breast cancer. This will be available October 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th beginning at 7:30am at Putnam Diagnostic Imaging located at 6905 Old Wolf Bay Rd, Palatka, FL 32177. This will end at 9:00 am on the designated days.
Putnam Community Medical Center and Putnam Diagnostic Imaging Center Recognize that scheduling a mammogram can be difficult for those with arduous work schedules. With that recognition, they have planned a Saturday just for scheduled mammograms on October 20th! This will be by appointment only and is open in the hopes that those who would normally be too busy to take the proper precautions with their health, will find the extra opportunity a blessing and provide peace of mind. For scheduling call 1-888-899-0934.
“Putnam Community Medical Center is working together with the community to beat breast cancer.” Mark Dooley, CEO of Putnam Community Medical Center remarked “We recognize that in today’s busy world, we have to make it easier for people to access health services. Last year the hospital reconfigured our layout for outpatient services and convenience of our community. These measures to provide additional screening opportunities for our local workforce and community is another positive step on that initiative.”
