Palatka, FL – Putnam Community Medical Center (PCMC) received a visit from a healthcare leadership and community revitalization author and consultant, Quint Studer. Studer, a Florida businessperson and philanthropist who is the co-owner of the Pensacola baseball team, the Blue Wahoos, is the founder of the health care consulting company, the Studer Group. Studer, known locally to most from Putnam County for his ongoing community vibrancy and revitalization efforts in the Palatka community, paid a visit to Putnam Community Medical Center to speak with local healthcare leaders. Topics of discussion spanned several topics from patient satisfaction initiatives to how as unit leaders, those running the hospital have acquired transferrable skills, which when shared, may provide valuable knowledge to other businesses in the area.

“Having Mr. Studer join us for breakfast was incredibly valuable to our team, and gave us some great ideas that we can apply to the tenants of our mission here in Palatka” Mark Dooley, CEO PCMC. “ Above all else we are committed to the care and improvement of human life. We apply that mission to our practice of healthcare every day in our community. We are certainly brainstorming after our session with Mr. Studer and excited for additional value we can bring to our community.”

Quint Studer continued throughout the session to praise the hospital and staff’s efforts and achievements in patient care quality over the past year, noting the turnaround in patient care quality on the Leapfrog scale from an F to an A, in just 5 years under HCA Healthcare management.

Mr. Studer was accompanied to the hospital by PCMC Board of Trustees member Danny Martinez, and past Chair Ben Bates Jr.
